Lawn Care

Maintaining a lush looking healthy lawn is an ongoing task and will need specific care and attention throughout the year. Services include;

Spring/autumn weed and feed treatments, scarification, aeration/spiking, lawn repair, seeding, turfing, mowing and edging.

Some lawns may need further treatment if certain pests and disease are causing damage. Further information and advice can be given specific to the pest or disease.

General weeding

Weeds are always popping up in the garden, however knowing when and how to tackle them can help keep your garden stay clearer for longer. I use manual methods of weed removal and try to not to use chemical herbicides where possible to minimise risk to beneficial organisms.

Border Maintenance

Cultivating and improving soil structure can do wonders for a plant's health. By adding organic matter you can improve aeration, drainage, water retention and nutrient availability. As a result, it can make your plants thrive.

Pruning

I can help with a variety of pruning tasks throughout the year, from topiary, cloud pruning and specimen plants to small trees. Some prized container plants may need root pruning and this will need to be done in stages. Further advice can be given on specific plants.

Soft Landscaping

Using vegetative materials to landscape gardens can be an effective way of creating structure and definition and can often aid in softening the transition between harder surfaces such as stone. This is the changeable living part of garden design which evolves over time.

Painting/ oiling and re-felting

Preserving your wooden shed, fences or decking with a fresh coat of paint or wood oil can help bring life back to it, helping to protect it from harsh weather. Shed roofing felt can also degrade over time potentially causing the roof to rot and let in water. By replacing it you can ensure your shed is protected from water damage.

Clearing and Renovation

Is your garden a bit of a jungle? Are all of the shrubs in your garden are overgrown and competing for light and space? I can help with taming an unruly garden and get it back under control. .

Hedge Trimming

If not regularly maintained hedges can quickly get out of control potentially blocking light to the house or other plants. Throughout the year your hedge will need a trim to keep its shape and size.

Jet Washing

It’s amazing how grubby hard surfaces such as patios or decking can get, and as a result can become unsafe and slippery. Jet washing is a great, chemical free way of cleaning up those dirty surfaces.
